One of my great regrets is that I did not spend as much time as I would have liked with my Italian uncle, Zio Luciano.
He and I got along fabulously.
I did visit him at the Fiat dealership near the Italian Navy center in Rome. Like his dad, my grandfather Sisto, he enjoyed selling cars and so did Zio Luciano. My grandfather had sold cars as early as in 1913.
We would talk about Fiats and he would explain all the latest technical improvements that Giovanni Agnelli would have brought about in the newer model cars.
Later Zio Luciano he became one of the very first boat dealers in Rome. I would visit him and he would show me all the boats he was selling.
Zio Luciano was always very kind to me and respectful.
