When Mom was quite young she was sent to Synagogue and she liked it very much. But then trouble developed when she told others at school that she was Jewish. She was not allowed to return to the Synagogue any more.
Much later she was invited to a Protestant Church, Lutheran I believe, and attended there for a very short time. She apparently learned a lot in the latter’s Sunday school class and the pastor took a real interest in Mom. But there too Mom was not permitted to return.
Years later Mom used everything she had been taught during her Bible school classes to instruct us on Jesus. She said that everything revolves around Jesus and his example.
Later that made it much easier for me to understand the Scriptures, because I was well disposed towards them.
